Default Pro Tools 2023.3 don't upgrade if you have to work.

I paid 12k € and 450 buck /year for a DAW which made me wait three years for an Apple SIlicon compatible update and when I got there I had to throw away a day of work to put the version back that runs in emulation. But don't you think it's something that can piss you off?

Most seasoned Pro's will either wait before upgrading to let the bugs get worked out. Or they have multiple systems and can experiment with one and have one or more for work if need be .
Which means "can piss you off" is personal choice and not endemic to the software functioning correctly or not ----

Why did you have to downgrade? As Climber said, just turn Rosetta on. And if you're having problems, describe them with enough detail for someone to help. 2023 running without issue here, and yes, I have to toggle between AS Native and Rosetta, but not because of Avid - only because a few developers still aren't there with AS plugin versions.

That's a spam account. There's a hidden link in the underscore area. It's just regurgitating another post to seem legit.

I've been working every day since upgrading. Maybe some details would help substantiate your alarming title.

I've noticed a little increasing sophisticated, but still not so bright, spam activity on DUC, and in some other unrelated forums. Semi incoherent posts, the content seems triggered by keywords in the previous post (or thread?) they are replying to. You can see at times the bot's working, e.g. if you Google the topic you'll see the same text fragments verbatim in the top google hit etc. This stuff is only going to get worse with folks messing with language models.

Not sure what the value of spamming or hacking stuff on DUC is.... Locate folks with large gear collections to physically steal stuff? Just generic click harvesting or bot-net take-over of client computers? Exfiltrate or ransom content from folks working on valuable content? All seem fanciful and I'd expect if somebody was serious they'd do something more sophisticated. Maybe it's just a testing ground before they go attack more valuable vBulleting targets? Maybe they are just bored twenty somethings and their mom won't let them out of the basement (parents please buy your kid a musical instrument *and* computer).
