Unable to communicate with Digi 002 error message
I recently upgraded to 6.4. Since then, when ever I start protools, I get an error message that the software is unable to communicate with the Digi 002. I replaced the fire wire cable with a high quality cable. I have used each fire wire port in my G4 (which is upgraded to dual processor 1.3). That does not solve the problem. However, after I start protools and get the error message, if I put the Digi 002 fire wire cable into one of my fire wire drives, Digi gets up and running. I can then put the Digi fire wire cable back into either G4 port and everything works great. If I start the computer with the Digi fire wire cable piggy backed to the fire wire drive, I get DAE error message 728. Although I can eventually get everything to work, it is a real bother to move the computer out of its space and go through this routine every time I start a session. I have done the usual trouble shooting in system preferences. Any suggestions?
