Default 1814 drivers

Here is a problem I am having that I haven't seen discussed. The drivers for my 1814 periodically stop working; as in, the soundcard will make no sound whatsoever. By rolling back , or updating the driver, the problem is 'fixed'. The driver ending '5021' seems more stable than driver '5036'. Is there anyone else with this problem?
