Hey guys!

I know this is not a Focusrite thread but my searches for the word "Focusrite" brought me here.

Can you try turning off Dynamic Plug In Processing in Setup > Playback Engine and see if this helps you?

Just a thought to try :)

Kat

I have forwarded a reference to this thread to my support ticket at Roland.

Is there a specific/direct email address within Avid I can forward to him?

Tested with Quad Capture, Win7, PT11.0.1
PT still crashes at startup, doesn't show any error message.

Have you tried to see if the 11.0.1 release could do something for these troubles?

There are 2 other threads (that I know of) that are specifically about Roland interface issues with PT11 and I have not seen anyone say they have successfully used Roland products with PT11. I have the Roland Quad Capture and it does the exact same runetime error, although PT11 does recognize my interface if I try to choose another one (unfortunately I do not own another one to use) Only once has it not crashed but it came up with a message saying something like the pro tools hardware is not installed or something like that, but I have not seen that message again. I along with some other people have filed crash reports, but I think now it is just a waiting game until someone sorts it out, because I have no idea what is at fault here, and I would like it to be sorted as soon as because PT11 looks awesome!

Have you try to do simple routing via Asio4all?
That might do the trick awaiting an update from Roland !

Edit : To explain a bit more my thoughts :

It's a trick I use sometimes when my Octa-Capture is unstable with my PT 10 :
I choose Asio4All as my playback engine and I enable the octa-capture in the Asio4All panel... It works on PT10, but it's certainly not the best solution... Does it on PT 11? I'll certainly try that tonight if I found the same bugs as you and will report with my experience.

I tried the ASIO thing and it worked, so it must be something to do with the Roland drivers itself, but thanks for this temporary solution!
