Default HD 192 A/D expansion card

Hi

I just purchase a used HD 192 A/D expansion card, and noticed the underneath of the card has discoloration in some areas, and also it looks like in one spot there has been some rosin that has leaked from a solder joint.
I am wondering if this may be a common thing with these cards.

Thanks

I don't know, I am concerned it might damage my interface.

Ok I may be a bit paranoid about this, but has anyone ever noticed this on these cards?

Just a thought but look through EBay for cards ( selecting ended would probably yield more results ) and maybe you can find some hi res pictures to compare other cards.
It's not fool proof but may give a clue to any discoloration

Thanks for the tip, but checked could not tell from those pictures on eBay.
My guess this card could have been installed in an interface that ran 24/7.

Hi

I went ahead installed the A/D card, and my digi pcie card did not see the 192 interface anymore. Removed the A/D card, and restarted and was able to see the interface again. I have an HD1 system with a 96IO, and 192IO I am using 8 analog ins/outs from the 96, and 8 analogs in, and 16 analogs out with the 192, and have no problems.
The extra A/D card was going to give me 16 ins. Can I add this extra A/D card which would give me (2)D/A cards, and (2)A/D cards in the 192 interface with an HD1 system? If I can I guess the A/D card in question must be fried. Has anyone have had this kind of problem?

Thanks, Tony

Pro tools will NOT recognize a 192 missing the digital IO
so no you can not have a 192 with 16 analog inputs and 16 analog outputs
It's either or
