7.4 won't open older files

I just upgraded from 7.1 to 7.4. I'm on a Mac quad PPC, with the old PCI cards (HD3) and the Digi expansion Chassis, running OS 10.4.11

The problem is when I try to open certain sessions PT hangs up when the inserts are being implemented. Some session open fine, and I'm thinking the problem is with sessions that have a high track count and use lots of inserts.

Any help out there?

have you tried making a new session and importing the old w/ Import Session Data?

RIght, that's my next workaround, but I thought someone may have encountered this and found a fix.

I just tried that, and it hung during the Activating Sends part of the process.

So I tried doing a simple uninstall then reinstalling 7.4. Still no luck. Should I do a "clean uninstall" rather than the recommended one?

Anybody? I'm still waiting to hear from Digi on this.
