Default Drop outs on AAF Import

Hello,

I am finding drop outs in audio files randomly throughout a session after importing an AAF. It was exported from an Avid Media Composer.

I've tried importing them using pro tools 12.7.1, 12.8.2, 12.8.3

OSX 10.10.5 HDX

When the same AAF is imported into an Avid they are not seeing the dropouts.

Is anyone familiar with this problem?

Thanks

Can you see gaps in the clip waveform display in PT? Do you hear the dropouts in the same spot each time you play a clip? If you find one of the clips playing with dropouts in PT in the finder and play it in another app does it have the same dropouts? It's important to determine whether you have a corrupted export or are experiencing some kind of playback problem on your own system.

I am seeing gaps in the clip waveform, the dropouts are consistent in the same sections, and I hear them in the parent file when played through qt player in the finder.

The original AAF was about 5 gb. I had them make a new one broken up into 6 parts and the drop outs are not present in the new smaller AAF's.

Way weird. A new export problem with AAF! The fun never ends!

Are the dropouts randomly distributed amongst the tracks? If they're only on music or sfx tracks that were pulled from libraries, they're likely SRC related.
