Emulated MIDI inputs?
Hi guys,
I've got a problem. (I'm Italian so...sorry for my english!) With my digi002R/PT 6.7 (without cs installed) shows me only the emulated in and out midi. I'm quite sure that untill two days ago in the in or out selectors there were also the non-emulated ports. I guess the something is not working good. but I can't find what it is. In thw answerbase I found this "message" (the same we can find in the "read me" of pt 6.7) but as you can read by yourself it gives no answers. Windows XP has a 32 MIDI port (input or output) limit for Emulated MIDI devices. If you are using devices which are non-timestamped (Emulated), only the first 32 Emulated inputs and Emulated outputs will appear as selectable in your MIDI application. Can you help me, please? |

Re: Emulated MIDI inputs?
I think you need the 6.7cs8 update

Re: Emulated MIDI inputs?
The cs releases are bugfixes, and I would definitely recommend being current on them; they fix confirmed problems with the software. (some very serious, IMHO)
I don't think you can roll back from a cs update, but if you're concerned/worried, I recommend norton ghost to capture an image of your current system before doing the update. It makes it very easy to recover, and I use it religiously. It is one of my personal favorite "must have"s. YMMV

Re: Emulated MIDI inputs?
Thanx to you, all
for the useful support. Now (almost) everything works fine on my PT/002R system. The most important thing is that I've got my midi connecetions working! |
