BIG UPGRADE LEAPING!! Currently at 10.2.8/6.1.1

I am looking to upgrade my os to 10.4 or the high 10.3s

but I am currently recording a few bands with my mbox.. things go pretty well.

I am wondering..
1. can I upgrade my pro tools for free from 6.1 to 6.4 - upgrading in steps is ok..

2. Are there more problems with the newer versions? - I can do without new errors, but I want to have some of the new mac features..

Never upgrade in the middle of a project, you're just begging for headaches if you do. Wait until you have downtime, then look into your options.

That being said, 10.4.2 and PTLE 6.9.2 are working flawlessly for me with my Mbox.

GREAT_- yes.. I wasn't going to upgrade now.. but soon.. and the upgrading might just get the band to finish their damn vocals!


anything I should think of regarding making the leap? --

can I do it in one step?

You just need to buy the 10.4 Tiger install DVD and the PTLE 6.9 upgrade CD - once you get Tiger and 6.9 installed, download and install the 6.9.2 PTLE update for Tiger compatibility.
