Feedback when I try to record
there is most awful feedback coming when I'm trying to record anything in protools - no problem like that in logic although the set up remains the same (two nearfield monitors, audio interface, dynamic mic). What could be the reason? thanks!

You’ve got your monitors turned off right?

Re: Feedback when I try to record
Only thing I can think is you're actively monitoring your microphone as you're recording and it's near your monitors?
