Default Protools on windows Local Audio support

Is thee any chance Avid will incorporate support for Windows audio hardware any time soon?
The ASIO4ALL driver works buts its clunky to configure.

Be great if Avid could use the onboard hardware straight off.

Pro Tools on Windows works best with an ASIO driver.

In the current version of Pro Tools, you should be able to choose 'Windows Audio Device' for your playback engine. It may or may not work well for you.

Besides ASIO4ALL you could use the ASIO driver from FL Studio. It works pretty well. You can download the trial for free and you will get the driver too. The driver will continue to work even if you uninstall FL Studio.

There is also an even BETTER solution with Voicemeeter Potato, yes, that is the name and how you spell it.

With Potato you can route all of your audio through it and hear it through whatever interface/speaker set you want.

I have a video that is about screen recording your DAW and capturing sound using Potato. But, it would probably give you an idea of what you could do with Potato even is you aren't interested in the screen recording part.

Good info^^^ Meanwhile, your overall experience with Pro Tools is going to be best when using a "real" interface with a solid driver. ASIO4ALL is really a "last-ditch" option to get playback
