Default is anyone here using brent averill 1073\'s?

At the studio i work at i use neve 1073's and i am considering dropping the $4,500 for a pair of brent averill 1073's. Is there anyone out there that has experience using both pres? how do they compare? i have heard that the averills are the best 1073 clone on the market. Any info will be helpful. thanks!

I'm a Vintech user, and I've done side by side comparisons with racked N modules. IMO, they're as close to a N as any other N sounds to another N. IOW, they sound killer.

They also have the new X73i, which is a bit less expensive - about $3,200 for two of them with the power supply.

I have never used the Brent Averill's, but I have heard some projects they were used on and have been really impressed. I have used Neve and SSL as well as API consloes and like the Neve sound, it feels good to my ears. I am saving up to get a pair of the Averill 1073's for my mobile rig.

I can only add that I love the recordings I have heard using this stuff, and would urge others to get a few of them.
