Pro Tools 12.5.1 Update Now Appearing In Avid Accounts

12.5.1 working fine on Win 7 Pro....-9173 gone!

Tested on a heavy mixing session with lots of mute automation which previously was exhibiting loud noise bursts and plugins chokes. It is working flawlessly now. No loud bursts anymore. So thats good!

New thing is that Pro Tools 12.5.1 crashed every time I first time insert a new instance of Slate VTM plugin in old or new sessions. Upon restart inserting of the same plugin didn't crash the PT.
Thats weird because I've never had any troubles with this plugin. Latest version of VTM 1.1.10.4 is installed.

SOLVED Windows 10 PT Installation issues...

I was able to successfully install PT 12.5.1. Clearly it was either a permissions issue or some other software getting in the way causing the Windows Installer for .MSI files to crash. Annoying to say the least, not sure if it's an Avid issue or a MS issue but I haven't encountered this with other installers.

I'm not so sure. I was amazed how quick the Comitt in the undo queue bug got fixed. It was only a few weeks ago the big got caught.

Maybe it was an easy fix. Other issues may be fundamental problems under the hood. Time will tell.

I have a current subscription and it has yet to show in Application Manage. Who ever heard of updates that not everyone can get at the same time upon release? Pretty lame.

So far so good as well. No crashes yet on windows 7. Not to say it wont but as of now its pretty solid. Seems faster than 11.3.2. I hope the weird errors don't pop up again.

Now i tried on el capitan and it was slow. No good.

If you have not worked out Application Mangler is a crock of **** yet you have other problems than getting this update. You can uninstall App Mangler or just ignore it. The update should be in your Avid Account, if it is not then complain about that, and the helpful Avid staff here will likely create a support case for you to get that fixed.
