Lowest H/W Buffer Size on Mac Pro with HDX ?
Hi guys,
I just bought an Mac Pro (late 2013) and was installing my HDX card into the MAGMA EB3T box. Running ProTools 2018.1 and going to the Playback engine, the lowest H/W Buffer size I can choose is 64 Samples. Is this correct ? Why no 32 Samples like my USB Scarlet 18i6 ? does it mean I have more latency ? Philippe M.

I would suggest a few threads to grasp what is happening here.
http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=379253 http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=360713 I am no expert and have just recently upgraded as well....I would say no but I can't really prove that with data. You definately win with HDX when you consider tracking with (AAX-DSP) plugins.
