Default kensington trackball scroll feature

Is there a way to bypass the scroll wheel feature on the trackball of the MC Pro?
I don't need the feature and It's always in the way when clicking. I am trying to find how to disable it.

Glue would be my second option.

Thank you.

I re-imaged the MC Pro last week and curiously there is no mouse or trackball software on the MC Pro hard disk anymore. But I remember that I couldn't do it even before with the previous mouse software. There was no option to bypass the scroll wheel completely. I definitely have to find the latest mouse expert trackball SW for the MC Pro window system.

I wrote an email to kensington support and should have an answer in the next 2 days.

Thanks for your input.

If you are talking about the software for the Kensington Expert Mouse trackball, it would be the TrackballWorks software under "Resources" on the Expert Mouse product page.
www.trackballworks.com will get you there.

I have a Kensington Orbit trackball with trackballworks on a Mac, and I don't see a way to disable the scroll ring, just to adjust the speed and direction.

I had a quick reply from Kensington:

Quote:
Thank you for contacting Kensington Technical Support.

We understand that you are experiencing difficulties with the Expert Mouse Trackball model # 64325. In this regard, we would like to inform you that the scrolling on the trackball is a standard feature and cannot be disabled either with the software or hardware settings. We also regret to inform you that the computer operating systems do not have any primary settings to turn off the scroll feature.
So I guess Glue is the only option.

Thank you Bruce for your input.
