Default 7.4.2 Plug-ins

Hmmm... so on the ProTools 7 Plug-In and Software Compatibility Page it says that the 'recommended version' for the digidesign-related plug ins is 7.4.2... i'm talking about Virus Indigo, DINR, Revibe, reverb one, x-form, bomb factory stuff, etc... however, none of these plug-ins have a 7.4.2 version...

is this just weird labeling....?

No, that's correct. If you look at the link though, the updates have yet to be released.

it says "...most Digidesign® and third-party plug-ins are Leopard-compatible with the new Pro Tools HD® 7.4.2 software update" and then below:

Leopard-Compatible Plug-ins
Digidesign (all other plug-ins)
DigiRack (all plug-ins)
Digidesign/Bomb Factory® (all plug-ins)
Digidesign/Trillium Lane Labs® (all other plug-ins)

...it doesn't say anything about updates pending for digi's plug-ins...

I noticed it too, in the compatibility grid they told you to get 7.4.2 plugins that whenever you go to the download page doesn't exist anyway.

Maybe digi should correct this.

Very annoying !

Here I am on day two of doing a full new, from the ground up, build of 7.4.2 and have now got round to installing plug-ins (all 71 of them).

After starting with Access Virus Indigo and discovering that I need version 7.4.2 but the link takes me to version 7.3 and knowing I am going to have to do this another 70 times fills me with deep joy !

In fact, after thinking about it, virtually all our plug-ins are registered on iLoks on the iLok.com site so a list of plug-ins we own exists.
Wouldn't it be nice if all the latest versions could be downloaded automatically via iLok.com using this list (including latest impulse responses, sample libraries etc) as they became available.

you have to do it for the first time. when upgrading/clean installing you can clone it from your previous installation if you still have it somewhere. Just copy to the TL space dir in Libary->app support->... then rescan
