OS9: Wireless keyboard & mouse
We still run 5.11 TDM from OS9.2.2. Can anyone recommend a wireless keyboard and mouse combo here? The devices would be used in a control room which communicates with a remote G4 933 by way of Gefen Cat5 USB extender. I was thinking that a USB receiver/tansmitter interface could plug into the Gefen extender hub in the control room. Alternately, some sort of RF device might work; the G4 sits in a machine room 40 feet away but there is no line of sight between the control room (where the wireless keyboard and mouse would be used) and the G4.
The only discussion I could find by Search pertained to OSX devices. Thanks, John Caldwell

Re: OS9: Wireless keyboard & mouse
I'm using Microsoft keyboard and mouse in OS9.2.2, altough not wireless, but it should work the same with there wireless stuff. You'll have to install IntelliType to have the buttons working and IntelliMouse to have the scroll wheel and right-button working.
You can remap any button on the keyboard to any key in Protools. Really helpful and bug-free for last 2 years. |
