Default Fans Going Wild .. ver 19.5.0.322 on macbook pro 2014

Fans Going Wild .. ver 19.5.0.322 on macbook pro 2014

one audio track, no audio clips in session .. open one plugin (anyone) .. heat goes up to 180 + degrees in Mac Fan Control .. hmmm .. not sure why .. will keep an eye on it ..

I love it when fans go wild!

It might just need a good blowout...Apple Store will do it for you, or you can do it yourself with a can of compressed air (there are youtube tutorials for deep cleaning too).

Other than that, what has changed (besides latest version of Pro Tools)? OSX? Plugins? Drivers?

Did you delete Avid Link? Uninstaller is in Applications >> Avid Uninstallers. Also you could look at Activity Monitor from your utilities folder and see what's requiring so much processor power...

For me too. ~102ºC and fans at ~6000RPM.

Mainboard and areas all clear with compressed air.
AVID Link installed or uninstalled make no difference.

ONLY change is newer version of PT .. i have all the older versions loaded up (since on a mac) and they do not do this .. will keep investigating ..

love the PIC ... and the FANS are Great except when the Crowd Gets HOT !! hahah
