Default pt hd native a 64bit solution

and if yes - what about the tdm users ?
do we still have to freak out with lots of
rtas problems on tdm ?
Why is it so difficult to get Pt TDM 64bit?
Any Ideas

I really need to ask this, I see allot of posts about a 64-bit version of PT. What would be the advantage from a sound and processing standpoint?

a 64bit DAW application will not sound better at all than a 32bit DAW application.
The main advantage is that in 64bit, the DAW is able to address tons of more RAM than a 32bit version.

A very informative video here -> http://www.celemony.com/cms/index.ph...it1_en_rel.php

The biggest issue, it would allow the application (Pro Tools) to address a memory component larger than current limitation. Translation, more native plug-ins, etc.

In light of what Sonar and others have been doing with 64 bit i would think Avid will follow inorder to make HD native a truly solid native solution.
