Default going back to 7.0, transport record lock is no go

Chasing 3 DA-88 with LTC, PT 7.1 cs6 and cs5, Sync I/O, dual 2 GHz G5, 1.5 Gg of Ram, Mac OS X 10.4.3

Transport Record Lock is ON
Track Record Lock is ON
Record at Time Code Lock is selected.

Every time there is a time code jump, PT transport goes out of record mode.

Strangely it did work partially with a session that had a start time of 20:57:00:02 but in the end I had a session with two blocks missing in the middle and at the end. The session starting at 08:00:00:00 was a no go; or all other sessions.

I did the usual trash digi pref, database...

I just don't want to baby-sit ProTools and restart the record at every time code jump.

I will have to re-install 7.0. I just erased it last week of the backup boot drive to backup the "working" 7.1 just before we did some OS upgrade and install new plug-in.

Anybody have a solution other than reinstall 7.0???

JC

p.s. I had no answer in the "Pro Tools TDM Systems on Mac OS" forum.

Not sure if I'm barking up the wrong tree here but have you got 'jam sync' ticked in session setup? This may help.

I tried with 8, and I tried with none. I did not tried jam sync, as it would ignore incoming time code.
