P.S.
In that previous attempt, there was no controller "installed" in Logic Control Surfaces "Setup".

Those Controller Assignments were simply added. They were created by editing Learned Assignments.

Good news is with a system restart, the one-way 003>Logic, 16 Fader control remains as before.
And, if I add to or remove one of the "unassigned 8 header", assignments shift as expected. And, if I add a track beyond the controllable 16, control cannot be established. This is expected because 003 in MIDI Mode transmits on MIDI Channels 1-16. I will assume this, 16 tracks, is the limit for the 1-way 003>Logic control.

So, at worst, I have a non-dynamic 1-way, 16-Fader (in 2 banks) control of Logic.

It seems those Logic Controller Assignments are essential for this.

Mute and Solo are a mess. I've got them on the correct 16 Fader>Track correspondence.
Issue is:
Two clicks of the 003 button are necessary to equal a signal to Logic. So, the mute or solo lights on 003 so not correspond with mute/solo status in Logic. Real mess. Pretty much useless.

On 003, I can choose between latch or momentary. But, latch is only one that makes sense.
In Logic, I tried all sorts of combinations but could not get the desired 1 003-Click to 1 Logic response ratio. (It's 2:1)

Panning works perfectly.

What a mess.
