Help with Importing Midi Files into 001

I am looking for help from the gurus. I have a P2K and a Digi 001 with Protools version 5.1 and when I import other GM files into it they don't play like they do correctly in my soundblaster live card. Is there a way to fix this or delete the program change?

I would really love someone to help me with
this and it would be appreciated very much.

I've not had any problems importing midi files into Pro Tools... Are you importing Type 0 or Type 1?

Can you give a little more detail of the king of sound you are having?
Do you mean the tempo is incorrect or the patches are not giving the right sound tones? [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img]

Yes, the patches do not match the ones in my P2K and therefore the sound is not correct. For example in channel 10 where the drums are, I could probably hear a bass or a piano playing. In general the sound is distorted. I have heard other peoples say that I have to check the program change in PTLE but where that is I don't know.
