Martin - ha I know what you mean, but I wasn't prepared to spring for a nanosyncs HD. I went skiing instead!
I have the dip switch menu on my desktop!

Snooping around on eBay for a second hand sync io.
Does the older version (Sync logo on the left, Digidesign) work on the latest protools
or would i need the new version (Avid logo on the left)?

Old one works up to PT10 and for PT11 and later you need Synd HD. Beware, some of the older blue boxes are in fact "Sync HD" if it says so, but most of them are the old "Sync I/O" which doesn't work with current systems.

All Avid-branded boxes are okay, though.

One more question...
Should i send my video out from the AJA Express through the Sync HD?
Is this just to be able to use the dub window?

If you need to add bitc to HD video you will need to buy and use video slave 3
