Aae 6089
AAE 6089: The operating system held off interrupts for too long. If this occurs frequently, try increasing the "H/W Buffer Size" in the Playback Engine panel.
I have my system optimized per Avid's recommendations. I updated to 2018.1 but I was still getting this problem with 12.8.3. I have changed the H/W buffer size to the max, then it tells me to lower it, I lower it, then it tells me to increase it....Any thoughts on the problem? Mac Pro 3,1 20Gb Ram Dual 3.0ghz xenon processor 2TB hard drive OS 10.11.5 Protool 12.8.3 003+rack Golden age Pre 1073

Re: Aae 6089
There is a lot of information about this here but you’ll have to search deep for it. If I recall correctly it’s in large part to do with the video card that comes with some of the MacBook Pros. Of course a contributing factor is how complex your session is...plug-in count and bussing config. On sessions where this is a constant problem I’ve resorted to committing or freezing as many tracks as I’m comfortable with. Good luck!
