Default PT 12 HD and legacy interfaces / blue D-Command

Hi,

I wonder if my hardware setup will be supported by PT12HD.
i ask this because on the Avid pages it is not clear if Legacy ( Blue) interfaces are still supported.

- MacPro 8 core (2014)
- 2x HDX
- Sync HD
- HD IO
- 192 IO ( 2x )
- Waves digigrid DLS
- D-Command 40 faders ( blue)

All of this just works fine with PT 11.3HD, just want to make sure it will also work with PT 12 HD and up. ( in case i go on with Avid...;-)
Can anyone shed a light on this please ?

I'll only speak to the HD interfaces and D Command.

And yes, they both work perfectly with HD12. And they likely will continue to do so for a very long time.

Blue ICONs use the exact same software "profile" as their black counterparts. So even though their support ends sooner, they will work just as long as the black ones will. Getting parts might be a different story however.

As for the interfaces, the Digilink specification has been around for approx 13 years and isn't likely to change either. There simply isn't a need. Avid will likely switch to one of the ethernet based protocols instead.

What Drew said.

Only thing I can add is that my D-Command ES works just as good with 12 as it did with 11.
