Another 5.1 mixing question

I want to send some music into rears of a 5.1 film mix. Im routing it through some reverb trails.
What opinions do people have about

1) the best tail length of the reverb
2) what delay in the reverb
3) any eq applied?

1) depends on the sound feeding the verb and the tempo/pace of the music and scene
2) depends on the sound feeding the verb and the tempo/pace of the music and scene
3) depends on the sound feeding the verb and the sound of the verb itself
