Making a selection
What's up? I'm new to Pro Tools and was wondering if anyone could explain why when I make a selection of an audio track and play it, when I stop playback my selection is lost? This happens no matter how I stop the playback (spacebar, return, or clicking the stop button).

Re: Making a selection
It depends on your prefs and your scroll options. It also depends on if you have the Timeline and Edit Selection linked.
Try turning off the option in the prefs Operation->Timeline insertion folows playback. Also check out this thread on the PC side which has a similar question. Rail
