Can't hear anything out of sampletank....

I searched the forums and looked through the manuals couldnt find anything. Ive had pro tools up for like 4 days and never really cared for the Plugins but they looked intresting so I decided to install it, I unlocked it but then I double click the sound in sampletank I can't hear anything and ive tried it on Midi tracks, stereo tracks, and aux tracks......Anyone know my problem?

The problem is user error. All instruments in Pt work the same way - and differently from Cubase or Logic. You insert ST on a stereo Aux, turn up the aux fader. Create a midi track and insert ST as the source for Midi out. Ignore the No Channels Activated.

Click on ST in the aux track insert so it opens and select an instrument so it loads in channel 1. Read the users guide in ST if you cant get it to work.

Rec enable the midi track and start playing.

Thanks it works now is there some way to preview the sound before I put it on the Midi track?

Similar question. I asked it before. Where did you find the Sampletank plug? I know it's supposed to come "bundled" with PT, but I can't find it anywhere.

I did determine there's nothing on my PT install disc aside from PT, and the only other CD that came with the 002R was the Mac version of PT.

I did download the BF plugs from the Digi site, and I like them a lot--particularly BF76.

sounds like your 002r is missing the bundle. there is a free version of sampletank at the IK site. the only difference b/w the free version and the bundled version that I've noticed is the samples that are included on the bundled version that aren't all availabe for download with the free version.
