Those earlier plugins modeled the algorithm but not the hardware itself. They sound good in their own right, but they're not quite the same sound as the box. With the benefit of faster computers and better signal analysis tools, we've gone back and tried to figure out what made the original hardware box sound the way it did, and built the plugin taking into account such things as the box's filters in AD/DA conversion, sample rate, and bit depth.

We think you'll notice a difference, and encourage you to try the free 30 day trial.
Great, thanks from the clarifying inside input. I already bought it and have being trying on different material. Sounds sweet.

Thanks for the info. Would you please clarify what's the difference between the modern and vintage modes? Is it like I suspected (based purely on the ear) that modern is based on the algorithm and vintage includes the hardware/analog characteristics as you said?

Both vintage and modern include the modeling, but vintage is faithful to the box whereas whereas modern is brighter (it's ad/da filters roll off much more steeply, around 18kHz), more diffuse, and full bit-depth. Its box model is more similar to the Princeton Digital Reverb 2016 box.

Absolutely marvelous! Great rooms, lovely (vintage) plates and I'm only halfway thru all the -excellent- presets.

At $29,- this is insanely good value for money.

Please excuse me as I have some templates to revise...

How do you get $29? Is this an upgrade price or what? Full buy is $79

If you have the blue 2016 Stereo Room you pay 29 at Eventide and keep both. I got mine from Focusrite, best snare room I've ever had!

Yeah, that's the upgrade price from Stereo Room 2016, which was free at one point from the Focusrite Plugin Collective.
