What is the blank space above groups on the mixer window?

I looked through the manual briefly but I figured someone else here may know... Whats the black box above the group and pan area on the mixer page?

I wish the faders had longer throw and that black box was gone because I cant seem to figure out what its supposed to be displaying.

Is it possible to remove it and increase the length of the fader in an update?

This isn't hardware, you don't have to build in buttons for upcoming features.

Well, that space is intentional as we have plans for what we want to put there. But, that work hasn't been completed properly in time for release, so it's currently just been left blank. I hear you that you'd like the ability to hide that in order to have longer faders. Thanks,

I assume eventually a graphical representation of your EQ or compression will be there (maybe a surround pan?)

Like a phase inverse for the channel in Pro Tools? We'd need Pro Tools to have that first.

I don't recall seeing it when I was in a 5.1 session. Plus as Kyle mentioned it's for something that didn't get finished in time for release
