Video card
I am running PT 10 (soon to upgrade to 12.x when I find the tine) on a Refurbed PC with Dual Xeon E5-2650 2.6 GHz processors and 24 gb ram running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.
The video card that came with it is an AMD FirePro 2270 with a single large connector that came with a "Y" cord of some sort. It seems to work OK, but I am thinking about a third monitor. Any suggestions for a video card that won't break the bank and plays nice with PT. I use this computer for audio apps only, so no need for gaming quality graphics. Media Man |

Re: Video card
My third screen runs fine on a $40 nVidia card, but I would not mix brands. Maybe pull the amd card and get a pair of nVidia Geforce 610 cards?

Re: Video card
I was thinking there may be a card with three or four outputs? No?

Re: Video card
Hmmm, not sure on that. Both cards in my rig have 3 possible output ports, but only 2 can be active out of the 3. A google search might turn up a better answer(I do remember Matrox making a card that could run 4 screens)

Re: Video card
I'm running 3 monitors using this fan-less card:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161354 It's a decent, cheap video card. It's probably not suitable for gamers, but no problems here running my triple ProTools monitors (mix/edit/plugs & misc).

Re: Video card
I am running 1 monitor with this card, really nice card that I got for native Mac support but now use it in my Win10PRO x64 machine.
Not a serious gaming card, but better than stock cards. Worse thing about it is that the top resolution is only 1080p. I paid about $140 for it when I got mine. It was a great upgrade from my GT120
