1 FIX Write to ALL so it can't wipe days of automation
2 FIX Write to ALL so it can't wipe days of automation
3 FIX Write to ALL so it can't wipe days of automation

The current set up is seriously dumb.

Write to all -when a selection is made while in play should not erase days of work

Write to all -when no selection is made should not erase days of work

Write to all -when used on on a satellite B when satellite A has made selection should not erase days of work

Safety of data when mixing large projects is -IMPORTANT

Most of us can come up with more but for this thread let's stick to your personal top 3.

Here's my top 3 :

1. Spill playlists into custom fader groups

Exactly .... spill / fold feature that would allow playlists to be spilled into a custom fader group and lets you control them / solo them on the fly in that group ...

2. Custom faders follow global encoder view switches ...

D Control specific yes ... nonetheless ... a preference that will make the global strip switches (inserts/sends/eq/dyn ...) change BOTH normal strip encoder views AND custom fader encoder views

3. simultaneous view of pre / post fader metering on the meter bridge

a metering pref ... allowing you to view pre and post fader levels at the same time on the meter bridge ... similar to 'input' mode when using the console in inline mode.

Chris
My three exactly

My ultratop 3 are numbers 2 to 4 from Pete (quote beneath), but I pretty much agree with all of the other requests made in this thread as well.

Greetings,

Thierry

Touch fader to focus.

Copy/paste EQ/Dyn settings in the center section, I find it hard to believe it isn't there.

1. DCommand multi-mode - ie ability to control 2-4 PTHD rigs from one surface like a DControl
2.Easier way to create custom fader groups from the surface
3. More custom fader groups on DCommand

I would like Video frames showing during selection with the scrub wheel.

Now, wouldn't it be great to hear from the Digi developer that is in charge of the ICON line. Let us know you're listening and maybe give us an idea of what we can expect in the next PT update?

Please an EASY MUST HAVE:

Track names in the control surface should be different than playlist names.

Explanation:

If I have a track called GUITAR, I always want to keep this name in my surface. So I think, when naming a track there should be two different names:

The name we already have for the playlist that changes with new, duplicates, etc...

A short name, created by the computer but editable to show in the control surface.

While we are editing, we need the computer screen and the different names. While we are mixing, we have already selected the correct playlist, and we need clear an clean names in the surface.

Let me know your opinion ...

Hitting the SAVE button once should save the session and the light should turn off.

1. Ability to map keyboard shortcuts to a bank of custom soft keys

2. Maybe you can already do this, please tell me if you can. Ability to customise individual rotary encoders within a channel strip. ie have one for pan, one for Send A gain, one for Send B gain, one for Compressor threshold etc so you don't have to switch all the time!

3. Ability to create/edit Custom Fader groups from Pro-Tools

This was one of the first things I noted as an oversight on the D-Control, it would be so easy and SO useful

My workaround in my post above is the ability to map shortcuts to soft keys, so you could have Shift-Command-C and Shift-Command-V put on soft keys!
