Default Who all is still waiting on their PT11 Upgrade email??

So who all is still waiting on Avids automated system to send the an Email? I feel like it should not take this long. Especially if its all electronic and automated

My understanding is each email's upgrade code is generated individually for that user/email so it takes time

or the hamsters and only run on there wheels for so long in a day (you know the hamster union is strong)

I am in the same boat...

I bought a Pro tools 10 for students license in 2011, and I am still waiting to get my email... I have seen other people getting them so I am quite anxious, especially since there does not appear to be any way to ask Avid to verify if we are elegible or not.

I asked them and got this reply..

Hi,

Thank you for contacting Avid Registration Assistance.

Beginning April 7, 2013, if you buy, upgrade to, or crossgrade to Pro Tools 10, you’re entitled to a complimentary upgrade to Pro Tools 11 once it is available. Make sure that you register your product. Your Pro Tools 10 Box registration does qualify you to get Pro Tools 11. Automatic emails should have been sent out to qualifying customer's. It may take a week or so for the system send all of it. I apologize for the inconvenience.




I'm assuming this means I just have to wait..

Avid has posted that it ma take three weeks before all emails are sent out. They say they need to generate thousands.

And that's probably right there why the 4-years of free upgrades for academic users went away.

Yeah I probably need to stop checking my email every three hours lol.
I’m just anxious to try out this new audio engine before I start tracking some new sessions

I have a student version out here on the west coast 40 minutes from Avid and nothing yet as well.

However I am confident they will get around to everyone. Do not worry Avid needs to service the revenue generating streams first and then they will get around to updating the student accounts.
Avid spent a lot of money developing 11 and I understand that they need to recoup investment costs first.

Avid is a trustworthy company and they have never not honored a purchase agreement.

Trust me fellow students you will be take care of.

Start updating your plugins and get your systems tuned and ready. Have a great week.

With all that has been happening due to the problems with ilok, Avd is working past their hours to actually assist customers, this can make the replies to email and the notifications for the upgrade longer than expected.
