Mac installer download of pt8 HD only 87.3MB???

Hi to all!

I just joined the ranks of highly frustrated, completely bafled, yet hopefull PT8 owners unable to download their precious little investment

So does anyobdy know how a 4Gig download (the pt8HD mac download in the "my digi" section) could shrink to 87.3MB? (displayed on the download manager as well as the manual installer's splash screen)

downloaded the installer for the sake of it, but to no surprise does it result in a discmount error upon installation on my mac.

I attempted the download on 2 different windows computers, both with a broadband connection-both giving me the 87.3MB installer on that link...digi, is it you or am i missing something?

Hi,

Just a thought! have you clicked on the "view all downloads"? can you see all the downloads. and there's 20 including all the loops and third party plugins etc!!

The Mac HD8 should be 4179MB

Try another browser or try emptying the cache and cookies.

I have been moaning about the download problems for a week, but no-one else seem to have a problem other than I.

I had similar problems to you, and many others, including the download manager not working (on any computer I ever tried, Windows,Mac and all manner of browsers)

Filled in a tech support form (pain in and of itself)........no reply of course.

Very frustrating indeed.

Hi chris, yep i have done all of the above-strange thing is that all the other downloads, including the windows installer, seems to be working fine.ALL except the mac installer! So that kinda rules out any system/user error as far as i can tell.

Hey Crizdee:

I was able to finally download PT 8 when I tried it on our weekend (friday) and early morning US time.

The two factors must have enabled a steady connection...I don't know.

But I have been trying endlessly to get the loops and other programs, but they keep crapping out and I still can't get the download manager to work on any computer.

At least I have PT 8 though.

Me too I had problems with downloading the files.
It seems to be the download manager.
With Firefox download it worked finally as it should.

Same here. Safari choked after 21% and couldn't be bothered resuming transmission. Used newest version of Firefox instead. Took 3 hours, but it worked.
