Can C24 do this?

If you hit the "IN" and then the "out" buttons while a track is playing, you'll get a selection....but is there a way, without having to grab the mouse, to DESELECT this area? I use this to select and area for punching in a guitar part, say, but after I do it, I want to hit PLAY and now keep going. Don't want to have to grab the mouse to click onscreen to get rid of the selection....any way around this? Thanks

Unless I don't understand the question I believe if you touch either the rewind or forward button you will deselect.
