I don't get it. . . strange delay
If I launch an aux track and bus the Altiverb to a recorded track and ctrl+click it, that is I mute it, I always get a delay (or echo) effect on the track.
Once I un-mute Altiverb the echo is gone. But if I completely turn off Altiverb and leave the aux track with no instert there is again no echo. So I always get a delay effect if Altiverb is on the aux track and muted but never if it's either active or (of course) simply not there. It's the only effect I'm using. There are no other inserts on the recorded track or on the aux track. Any ideas? GD |

Re: I don't get it. . . strange delay
I think what may be happening is when you ctrl+click (bypass) the plug-in, Pro Tools is still applying the plug-in delay compensation amount to the aux track. I don't recall the amount of latency Altiverb has, but if it's a significant amount, you'll hear a delay.
Does that make sense? You can test this by bypassing delay compensation on just that aux track.

Re: I don't get it. . . strange delay
I'm afraid you may have solved it and that unfortunately this does make sense.
Thanks for clarifying this for me. GD |
