Re: Presonus 24.4.2 with PT 10
From what I understand, non HD Pro Tools can record 32 tracks at once ...
With the 24.4.2 you can do the 24 inputs and then probably about 5-7 or so more channels but you'll need an external preamp for 4 of them ... The talkback mic has a Class A preamp that can be routed through Universal Control as well as the Aux A and B inputs ... I have the 16.4.2 and I use an external mixer when I run out of channels (for say 4 toms) ... I bring them back into the Aux A return (panned correctly on the ext mixer) and record them on a stereo track, when live, also route them to their own sub ... I want the 24.4.2 ... I bought the 16.4.2 when it came out ... bout a year later the 24 ch version showed up ...

And yes PT 10 does record 32 at the same time but it is hardware/interface dependent.

Re: Presonus 24.4.2 with PT 10
Hi guys, I seeking infos on presonus gear running ProTools 9.0.6. I've build a rig with a Firestudio and a Firestudio Tube chained and I can't get audio from two of the preamps, the very two "tube super channels" so called. I can't understand what happens. I can set up a session with 36 inputs thru the aggregate Audio unit but the only two I can't have are the tube pres. Any idea?
