Default Busses!

Good morning. I seem to have a problem with bussing in Pro Tools 9! First, when I try to buss tracks via an Aux track the selections are limited and are not numbered in order. For instance, selections that appear are Buss 1 mono, buss 2 mono, buss 6 and 8! No 3 or 4, and no busses higher in number. Normally when I would go to select a buss or busses an entire screen of buss options would appear. I've tried the usual method of correction, (i.e.) selecting the option that is supposed to revert the buss ins & outs back to the original format but it doesn't work! I'm on PT's 9 with the Focusrite 2i4 I/O. Recently I had Sweetcare tech support remotely correct another, unrelated problem and this issue seemed to have started after that. I don't know if that had anything to do with it. How can I correct my buss options back to normal? Thanks.

Hey Terry, what works for me is to go to Setup>IO>Bus tab and do 2 things. #1-scroll down and look for anything in italics(which are mis-routed and non-working) and delete those paths, or UNcheck the right column. #2-(since you now have access to way more busses) I create a new path(a new bus) choose mono or stereo and(usually) type 12 in the numbers box(just an arbitrary number of buses that will more than cover my needs at that moment).

Thanks albee. I thought I had done that.(at least part of it). But I certainly will review your correction method and try it. One thing I'm not understanding. Did you mean Italics or parenthesis ? Thanks.

italics That means the bus(or input or output) is unavailable, letting you know that something is not setup correctly(which started happening a lot with PT9 and still happens thru the latest version)
