Default FREE NI Kontakt Player
I haven't seen this mentioned here yet, it's free, worth checking out.

Kontakt Player and the Factory Library
Based on Kontakt 3(.5)


I've installed it but it's still scanning my drives building it's database. Kore Player had some great sounds so I'm sure this will be useful.

Any thoughts?

Nice find thanks. I also enjoy some of the sounds with Kore Player.

Will play with this soon.

Pros:
  • free
  • good sounds
  • not limited as a free program (no beeps, noise)
Cons:

  • I found it difficult to tweak
  • CPU hog
  • has issues changing instruments during playback (at least on my rig)
I still love it :)

This seems to be a common thing with NI? Is RTAS also partly to blame?

I downloaded and installed Kontakt 3.5 when it came out a couple of weeks ago. Does anybody know if installing Kontakt 3.5 also installs the latest version of Kontakt Player?
