Default How do I Get my session to automatically go back?

Can anyone tell me how to get my session to go back to where it started? For instance, if I start recording at bar 14 and then stop, my session will stay where ever I stop it. It's always gone back to the point I selected it at before and then I had a friend over and he hit something and now it doesn't do this. If I select something and then hit the space bar, it unselects. Any help would be much appreciated.

Press the "n" key (Start + n if you aren't in command focus mode).

That toggles "Timeline insertion/Play start marker follows playback" on and off.

Covered in Chapter 7 of the Pro Tools Reference Guide.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I've tried that already and it's not working.

With all due respect, that wasn't a "suggestion."
He (spk) not only told you EXACTLY how to do what you want to do using keyboard shortcuts, he even pointed you the chapter in the manual that covers all such issues.
If it were a "suggestion" he might have prefaced it with something like...
"...well, you might try doing this..." or somesuch.
