Every time I start pro tools 10.3.9 in Mavrick I get this message, (Could not create a new document because Assertion in /volumes/Development/ws.Proo Tools_10.3.9/Alturaports/DFW/MacBuild/../Views/uMenu.Macos.mm line 1351.
Can anyone enlighten me on what this mean and what I need to do to fix it, please.

There could be many things that cause an assertion error. See this page at Sweetwater.com: http://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/...w-do-i-fix-it/

You do know that PT10 is not supported in Mavericks right?

Yep, I know but I have had 10 on maverick since it came out, never seen this until last week

This is what can be expected to happen when running an unsupported setup. There are reasons PT10 is not supported on Mavericks and this may be one of them.
Did you try the things mentioned in the article I linked to?
