Default Eric Clapton guitar sound

Can anyone tell me how to add the famous tone of the Eric Clapton lead guitar sounds to a previous recorded lead guitar track? I only have the basic M2box setup with no additional plug ins.

Thanks
Jay

ah...you mean the "woman" tone? Take one nice vintage Les Paul , or SG, and roll off the treble on either the bridge or neck pickup. He also used a wah wah pedal in a fixed position. Run your amp ( or amp plug in ) as hot a steel smelter, and add sh*tloads of talent.

Thanks for the tips. Bottom line, sounds like it needs to be done on the front end more so than after the tracks are laid down.

Thanks again.

Yep - it's gonna be a real challange to pull a tone like that after the fact. You find there are lots af sites which go into great detail on how to achieve a similiar tone when recording. digitech make the Crossroads pedal which is supposed to give you that tone, but I've never heard one , so I can't give you any feedback (no pun intended) on it.
