Default Re: Affordable Plug-In Bundles?

Since I seem to be the only guy ever who bought the Sonictimeworks, let me say this - they donīt include Audiiosuite, it is a RTAS only without any presets. The reverb includes 5 algorithmes in the RTAS version, not 8. But yes, the compressor is underrated in the PC RTAS community, I think it has a lot of punch and then I compare it to the Fairchild from Bombfactory.

Phil, Iīm considdering Tel-Ray, have you got it? Do you use it? Or is it just another seldom jused colouring device?

For more colorful delays, filters etc. you should check out GRM tools.

www.grmtools.org/

It's a damn shame that their spectral transformation bundle isn't available for rtas pc, grrr.

Thatīs just it - I donīt want a colorful, sedlom used device. When GRM finally came out with something I wanted as well, it wasnīt PC RTAS - shame on them...

Yep,

I'd have to agree on the Waves Ren collection.
I have the Gold bundle, and I do use the other plugs in the bundle, but most often I am using the Ren Compressor and Ren Reverb. They just sound great and are easy to use.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I totally agree with Phil: The Ren packages are great. I started with the Native Power Pack, and the L1 and Q10 have found their way into everything I've worked on since then. The Trueverb is pretty good, but I still use the Dverb more. It's a great package, and you have an upgrade path to the Gold package when you're ready to buy it.

Good luck!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">It's a shame. So many developers claim to support every platform, yet, they always ignore rtas for pc.
Especially native Instruments. The fact that they still haven't offered us RTAS pc products proves they are weenies. Albeit the most talented group of weenies I'm aware of, to such an extent that I will probably migrate to a different platform just to use their products-- sheesh.

just out of curiosity, what plugins DO come with the digi001? I am considering buying one and, although plugins are part of the criteria, I am also considering the 002 as well as a Roland VS2480.

The 001 looks most appealing right now because of the saved money I could put towards better monitors and mic's and other stuff. But if I end up having to shell out hundreds more for the plugins needed to make good mixes, then I might as well get the 002.

Well, I have no problem with the 001 plug-ins.

I have added Wavelab.
(you can also export/import individual wavs if necessary)

No matter how many RTAS plugins you have?

ProTools can only do so much.
