Default Problem! Mac OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.3, 002 rack, Pro Tools 10.3.4

Hello, after hours of troubleshooting I'm at a loss of ideas.

Here is my setup:
2013 iMac 2.9GHz i5 w/ Mt. Lion 10.8.3
Black Lion Audio 002 rack
Thunderbolt to Firewire 800 Adapter
Firewire 800 to 400 Cable

Ultimately, Pro Tools 10.3.4 will not recognize my 002.

Pro Tools 10.3.4 installs fine, launches, but all it sees in the hardware setup is the Pro Tools Aggregate I/O.

I installed the latest 003/002 driver (with supposed Mt. Lion support), but no dice.

Here's what I've tried:

1. Clean install of PT 10
2. Installed latest 002/003 driver after clean install
3. Uninstalled PT 10 and drivers
4. Installed driver first
5. Reinstalled PT 10
6. Disabled FireWire Networking
7. Switched to different Thunderbolt ports, switched Firewire 400 ports on 002, different configurations, etc.

I should note that, when in the PT10 hardware setup, it shows the Pro Tools Aggregate I/O as the only hardware option. BUT, when I hit the tab to launch the "Audio MIDI Setup" app, it shows the 002, but with 0-inputs and 0-outputs. When I close PT10, I open up the Audio MIDI setup app separately, it shows 18-inputs and 18 outputs, but everything is grayed out, which is confusing, but I assume that means it's still unusable.

Not sure what else to do here. Unless someone has any bright ideas, I may have to take the iMac back (I have 12 days to return it).

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Re. the 002 user, are you SURE the 002 is working? Are you aware of the old "power harness" issue? For both, did you get the correct driver?(there are separate drivers for the rack version and for the mixer version)? For both(again) if you hot-patch the firewire with everything powered ON, you may have fried the FW circuit in the interface(yep, been there and done that)

Hi I've an 002 rack, and all was working fine, until I installed mountain lion.

I have done a clean uninstall of protools, uploaded latest drivers and protools. Works fine with Protools and iTunes, but doesn't work with you tube or quicktime.

Don't know what to do now
Anyone have any ideas?

Mac 10.8.3
Protools 10.3.4
002 driver 10.3.3

Macbook Pro
15-inch, Mid 2009
Processor 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

I think I may have accidentally solved my problem. I installed the DigiDioMidiDriver_v90_Fix_70303.dmg update, and now the DigiCoreAudio driver is recognizing the 002, and works with iTunes, and Garageband, haven't tried with pro tools yet, will let you know as soon as I test!

Cool! If it works with Pro Tools, that's the most important thing. For all non-PT audio, you could simply feed the computer audio(mini plug) to the RCA Alt inputs of the 002. Hit the Alt to Mon button to switch sources

All is good now!

Reinstalled Pro Tools, and immediately it didn't recognize the 002. I reinstalled the 002/003 family driver and DigiDioMidiDriver_v90_Fix_70303.dmg update, and everything was fine.

I think this little DigiDioMidiDriver_v90_Fix_70303.dmg update is the key.

Also, I accidentally launched Pro Tools when the 002 was not powered on. Pro Tools defaulted to the aggregate I/O. When launching again, with 002 powered on, Pro Tools still defaulted to the aggregate I/O and would not recognize the 002 once again. I simply quit Pro Tools, and relaunched, holding down "n", which eventually opens the Playback Engine setup (before Pro Tools actually opens) and selected the 002 as the playback engine, and all was good again.

Been running a session for hours, with all my plugins etc, and have had no problems. Everything seems to be on track here. I'm glad I don't have to take my sweet new iMac back to the Apple store and get slapped with a restocking fee.

My Setup again, for future reference:

2013 iMac 2.9GHz i5 w/ Mt. Lion 10.8.3
Pro Tools 10.3.4
002_and_003_Driver_10_3_3_Installer_78629.dmg
DigiDioMidiDriver_v90_Fix_70303.dmg update
Black Lion Audio 002 rack
Thunderbolt to Firewire 800 Adapter
Firewire 800 to 400 Cable

Where did you find the DigiDioMidiDriver_v90_Fix_70303.dmg file?

Actually I just found it! How're you liking that BLA 002? I've had mine for about a month now and love it.
