Default Hardware Spectrum Analyzer

Hi folks,

Quick query, recently I have been improving the interior aesthetics of my dark dingy studio that I spend most of my life in!

So far I have the obligatory lava lamps & have brightened the place up with some artwork and lighter/brighter coloured fabric over the dark acoustic panels on the walls.

What caught my eye recently is a hardware Spectrum Analyzer in this which I thought wouldn't just look good but actually be helpful too.

Any of you ProToolers know of any good hardware spectrum analyzers? (brands/models etc.)

Any advice appreciated.

cheers

jay

Get an old G4/5 with 2-3 monitors and have spectra-foo running! just a simple sound card with digital in and send the digital signal straight into foo...

The Klark Teknik DN60 used to be very popular...and I even have one stowed away upstairs somewhere.

I used to carry it with me to all the studios in the old days...to get some visual reference, when you had different monitors and rooms all the time.
But now it's collecting dust...and I'm not the lava lamp type.

It looks like this: http://www.broadcastbaron.com/infoklarkteknikdn60.htm
