Default Preference and Database Helper PT-10

New PT-10 version of the great Preferences and Database Helper:

http://jcdeshaies.is-a-geek.org/appl...se_Helper.html

Hi, with PTv8 there used to be a handy app for deleting all the protools preferences and databases with a single click, by "jcdeshaies", but I can't find it now. Is there a new one?
Thanks, Rick.

This is not our utility; we didn't develop, test, or endorse it. I Googled the name jcdeshaies and did find that there is a new version posted that is supposed to work with 10.x.

I use it and it works fine with my PT 10 setup on ML 10.8.

Hello- all jcdeshaies links are down. Does anyone have a copy of the PT 10 version (I think it is version 2.5)???
Thanks.

Yes site still down. It looks like somebody hacked or hijacked the website/domain. The original link to JC's site was: http://www.jcdeshaies.com/

I've asked here about this and nobody seems to know what's going on or can contact JC to get this straightened out.

Is still necessary or helpful to use this? I used to run it all the time with older versions. Thanks for your responses.

Still helpful on all versions of PT10 on a Mac. PT 11 uses a different program on Macs - search the DUC for it.

http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t...ighlight=Prefs

This will work on OSX 10.6 and above for Pro Tools 8, 9, 10 & 11. I've had to use it myself once on 11 - when I wrote it I wasn't sure whether it'd be necessary on 11 or not. I think it's needed less now and maybe as 11 develops further the need will dwindle further but it was easy to do so...

Pete
