Default Drum Replacement plugs

I've asked this before, maybe a year ago and decided to wait it out to see what might come in this area of plug-ins. It looks like drumagog 5 is out and SS Trigger, and there may be some others available too that I don't know about. I'm curious what people think about them in use? I know that drumagog 4 seemed to have issues with alignment... Have these really been resolved. Trigger seems simple and to the point, but how accurate is it? Do they all have midi output?

I don't replace a lot of drums, I tend to go for a more raw sound, but on occasion I'll work with a poor drummer who needs a little tweaking here and there, and I usually just use clean samples of thier recorded kit, so no big studio samples are needed.

So please let me know what you think of different replacement plugs based on features and not the included samples.

What he said.

Trigger. You can get a stripped down version that doesn't include a ton of samples and easily drag your own in. It's fast and easy.

Yah, Trigger works amazingly well. They really nailed the detection algorithms and the Suppresion function is quite brilliant and effective.

Steven Massey should have his revamped Drums-to-midi plugin out soon. For midi, it's the cat's pajamas.

I use Drumagog 4 and Soundreplacer. Works great for me.

Soundreplacer will give you the machine gun effect on fills as it can only replay the one and only sample that it holds. This also results in not being able to capture any of the dynamics of the original performance as there are no lower dynamics samples available. The newer tools are far more realistic sounding.

Massey DTM rules. You can use the midi to playback your own samples through structure free or trigger BFD and Addictive drums.
