AAE error -14018

I just uninstalled and reinstalled Pro Tools 12.1 on my system today. I also uninstalled, reinstalled and reauthorized all my plug ins.

I started a new session. I added a MIDI track and an instrument track. I tried to insert IK Multimedia Sample Tank 4 as my instrument and got the error:

The plug-in could not be made active because a AAE error was encountered. AAE error -14018 was encountered..

I then cycled through all the rest of my instrument plugins and all loaded without issue.

Any idea what this means? I have been using Pro Tools since 2006 and this is the first time I have seen this issue.

System details:

Windows 8.1 Pro
Intel Core i9-7940X (28 core)
128 GB RAM
System drive: M.2 1TB
Pro Tools sessions and media stored on internal SSD
Sample libraries stored on additional internal SSD

24 hours have passed. I uninstalled and reinstalled Sample Tank 4 again and still the same error. I also have the following instrument plugins that all work fine:

Boom, DB-33, Mini Grand, Structure Free, Syntronik, Vacuum and XPand!2.

I can get by with these for the moment, but IK Multimedia's SampleTank 4 has access to the vast majority of my samples and synths and I'd really like to use it since I have spent hundreds of dollars on these sounds.

Nobody has any idea what I can do to address this error?

Okay, well... the only thing that has worked for me is to uninstall SampleTank 4 and go down one version to SampleTank 3. A shame since I don't have all the samples and sounds in that version that I do in 4.

This is unacceptable. We need a solution. I've been a long time user of IK Multimedia's products, but this SampleTank 4 is a pain - from installation, to playing standalone, to using it in Pro Tools. I even did a re-install of Windows 10 and having the same issues. I have SampleTank 3 for years now, and finally decided to do the plunge on this one. In standalone mode, clicks and pops - after searching online, saw that someone deactivated the effects for the Yamaha C7, and now results are much better, but still... And in Pro Tools when trying to load SampleTank 4, it freezes momentarily, then comes up with the error -14018. I have SampleTank 3, and that works fine, but come on - that shouldn't be a solution to paying for this SampleTank 4. None of my other plugins do this - I mean none (including SampleTank 3). I have Komplete, Omnishpere, UHE Diva, Arturia V Collection, Sylenth, RealGuitar, etc etc and none of them behave this way. I don't have to disable any effects to get them to work efficiently either.

FWIW my system is Alienware 17r3/I7-6700hq 2.6ghz/16gb Ram/2 SSDs Windows 10 Pro.

Getting the same error for some PSP audioware plugs and Waves v10 Plugs even though their all properly installed and registered. Everything was working fine up until I updated to 2020.3...
