Default Record Arm Stores Offset?

Hi All, Hope this is the right forum.

Recently ran into an issue with PT 7.4. When arming a track for record and changing fader level, I notice the fader JUMPS BACK to it's previous setting once you take the track out of record.

For example, create a new track set at 0.0 dB. Put the track into record and move it's fader to say +4.0 dB. Take the track out of record and the fader jumps back to 0.0 dB. Put the same track back into record and the fader will jump back to exactly +4.0 dB. Audio output levels follow this behavior.

I don't remember PT ever doing this and can't get it back to "normal". Am I missing something? Is there a short cut I can't find? It's gotta be something easy. No automation is going on and this happens on brand new sessions.

thanks for your time.

Drew,

Thanks a million, buddy! Knew it had to be something like that I just couldn't find it.

Your studio looks great BTW. How are liking the Barefoots? We use them quite a lot at the studio.

Thanks again,
Pistol

Love the Barefoots!! I have serial numbers 3 and 4, been using them for a while. That was a great day, the day the near constant search for the right setup ended.

Nice, definitely a great monitor! Yeah if I had the cash I'd get them myself.

Thanks again!
