Default Pro Tools MP 9 Crashing When Opening LE 8 Sessions

Hi all.

Wondering if anyone has any insight into this problem. I helped my friend update his setup from Pro Tools LE 8 with an MBox 2 to Pro Tools MP 9 with a Fast Track Pro Interface.

Prior to installing MP 9, we ran the Pro Tools Uninstaller found on the installation disc to remove Pro Tools LE 8. We then installed MP 9 and the 9.0.5 update.

Creating a new session seems to work fine but anytime we tried to open one of his old LE 8 sessions Pro Tools would close unexpectedly. Does anyone have any insight into this situation? It's my friends computer so I don't remember all his specs. I think he's running Mac OS 10.6.8.

Any thoughts are appreciated.
